The Centre of Excellence (CoE) programme’s showcase conference, the Southern Africa Telecommunication Networks and Applications Conference (SATNAC) is an annual event hosted under the auspices of Telkom and attracts in excess of 400 delegates.
The CoE programme and SATNAC go hand in hand and were originally started in 1998 to provide a platform for postgraduate students to showcase their research. The conference has grown tremendously over the years and is now recognised as one of the most important ICT conferences in Southern Africa.
This prestigious event has become the continent’s leading ICT conference where Industry, Academia and Operators publish on matters concerning progress achieved in applied research in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector and where industry leaders share their views on latest trends and developments.
SATNAC has proved to be an excellent networking platform for the ICT industry and prides itself on being an ideal forum for postgraduate students to highlight successes achieved on their research.
During the three day conference a number of plenary sessions and presentations will focus on the theme: SATNAC 2014: “Ubiquitous Broadband – An enabler to transform lives” with panellists representing telecommunication operators and vendors from national and international organisations.
This year’s Southern African Telecommunication Networks and Applications Conference (SATNAC) will be held from 31 August 2014 to 3 September 2014 at The Boardwalk, Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa.
Looking forward to see you at SATNAC 2014
